Huion gang rise up!

Having some issues where my ship keeps moving to the top of the screen and holding down only keeps it stopped temporarily before I let it go and the ship continues to drift up

Edit: Looks like the issue was trying to have a dualsense plugged in instead of an xbox controller

Great game! Was fun to see this mashup of chess, shmup classics, and cuphead! Its clear that the devs have a lot of love for the chess world with all the references and in-jokes even if I'll inevitably have to ask my actual chess friends what they all are referring to.

It feels like a lot of divisive choices are made intentionally to support the entire concept of this being centered around chess, such as coins being called ELO and grinding them representing the grind for ELO. Also having only 1 life feels a bit ruthless, but it makes sense when your ship is meant to represent a king, which is also taken out with 1 shot in chess. I appreciate the commitment to the bit!

Looks like the game doesn't play

Unfortunately looks like no towers get built when clicking and the wave doesn't start when someone clicks the button meaning the game doesn't play

A nice little demo. Its funny how there's no upper limit to upgrades and how you can build on the enemy lane as well. I didn't realize I could do it till I accidentally clicked there. Maybe I'm just conditioned by Rock on island from UFO50

Since you asked for feedback in the thread I just wanted to point out that the twist on the first pic's torso looks a bit unnatural. Also seems a bit long as well.

The texture on the dragon's body is so mesmerizing! hell yeah
